over complicated!!!
Never underestimate what God is doing in the background..
God never ceases to amaze me. Have you ever just blasted out your feelings, only to find all along God has been on the case to show his amazing grace. His perfect love for his child, and how much we mean to him. What am I talking about? Well; my husband has been in this Family worker position for a year and a half now, it's had its challenges, it's struggles, it's frustrations, it's heart melting moments, it's joyous moments. Just like any situation you get placed in. I've had my struggles adapting to a new denomination, but looking back that could be because instead of just keeping focused on God and what he's doing, I allowed what man was doing and the ways of this work bother me and make me uncomfortable. We learn though don't we. Anyway to the point, as life slips by, I could see what God was doing and how wonderfully he was working within the community and the church. We felt so blessed at the comments of encouragement people were firing our way on different occasions about how they feel about us as a family being here and the work that's on the go, the changes and encouragements God has done through us/ my husbands team of people over the period of time. That should be enough right? No; unfortunately as you now we as humans are like targets to the negative arrows the enemy likes to fire our way. And when there's a family or the odd person who likes to put a clog in the steal works, not always in a quiet manner. Instead of brushing it off, we/I allow it to maintain our focus instead of letting go and let God. So one particular day I got all confused and just needed to talk, so I opened up to my husband and told him what's on my mind and why I'm so confused. After getting it off my chest we prayed and left it in Gods capable hands. Little did I know God had already been working on a answer before my emotional moment came about. You see my right thyroid lobe has either a tumor in it or cancer, well we noticed it raised 7-9 months before a lady from church encouraged me to go get it checked out. God bless her. While we were on the journey of hospital appointments and so on, I updated everyone on Facebook as talking about it over and over individually was exhausting. After the update the church and the community started coming up to us offering help, support, too cook for us, too babysit. It was a revelation for me, my eyes were opened and our hearts were blessed and blown away at the kindness and generosity of those around us. You see not only did we find out i could have a tumor or cancer, but a dear family member died suddenly and I'm in my last trimester. For us as a family and couple it was a lot to have in one shot. But God really showed us how much he has our backs. And that everything he had us doing, mostly my husband and his team. But everything that had been done all came together for this particular time to show us how much he truly values us and loves us. I'm sure there are other reasons and I know his work isn't finished, but God knew all along that we/I would need a moment like this. Being a Christian isn't a walk in the park, and when it seems like the enemy is just having a ball.. God knows we need his love and peace and he isn't quiet in showing it, or shy in sharing it. Praise the Lord. So if anything from this blog, I pray I've encouraged you that however tough your walk is, whatever it is you face, whoever it is that challenges your grace and patience. Know that God is and will work everything out for your good and for his glory. Be blessed.
Romans 8: 28
And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him, who have been called according to his purpose.
Let' pray..
Father in heaven we thank you for your grace and patience towards us. Lord life throws so many challenges and trials. people challenge our grace and patience, even to the point of a break down in emotions. But Father you are faithful and loving and just, and we praise your name for not holding back in showing us your love and care towards us. Even when we don't really deserve it. Help us to continue to love others and have grace and patience even when we are being pushed to the max in frustration. Thank you God for everything. in Jesus name amen.
be blessed.
