The course a head

Habakkuk 3:19
“The LORD God is my strength; He will make my feet like deer’s feet, and He will make me walk on my high hills.”

God gave animals the sure-footedness to climb steep hillsides, and He can give us the confidence to walk His way.

Have you ever wondered how a deer or a goat managers to get themselves up hills without stumbling. They don't exactly have big feet to at least bring steadiness, they rely on these small huffs to take them through whatever type of place they find themselves on. But God in his greatness gave them exactly what they needed to get them from one place to another. That's exactly how it is with us. God has given us everything we need to accomplish his grand plan for our lives. He provides us with strength when we need it, peace when a battle in on the way. Discernment when someone/something isn't right. And like a deer pacing itself through grassy fields, rocky hillsides, meadows, forests and so on with great confidence, we too can face our mountain of a situation, our rocky roads with the confident hope the bible brings that God will bring us through and out the other side, stronger, closer to him and a bigger level of faith than before.

We can look at how big our hill is or keep looking back at what our life was but that's not what's going to move us forward, we don't know what will happen, but like a deer doesn't worry it's huff are too small, he or she just gets on with the journey that they need to do.

We often find ourselves in situations that feel like we are climbing up steep hills. We may feel like we are taking 1 step forward but 2 steps back. In some cases we feel we are going round and round in circles getting no where. A whole explosion of emotions fly at us, that can only be described as being in the middle of a tornado. It's these times we need to remind ourselves of what the bible tells us about God provision, Gods love, God's guidance and his reassurance to getting us through the valley of the shadow of death. No where in the bible does it say 'once you are a Christian you will live a life free from trouble, free from darkness, free from negativity, you'll live a life of none stop perfection' no: as a matter of fact quite the opposite is said. Jesus himself said we will face trials and tribulations.
John 16:33
I have said these things to you, that in me you may have peace. In the world you will have tribulation. But take heart; I have overcome the world.”
Rest assured that not once does he say I will abandon you and just sit back with some popcorn and watch you all suffer while I'm hear cosy. God cares so much for his creation that he was willing to go to extreme lengths to mend the damage done through sin and that was by sending Jesus to make the ultimate sacrifice for our sins, so we can be washed clean, and He still is to this day, willing that is to go all out to try and bring us home with him for eternity. I don't believe God picks and chooses who to save, I believe he goes as far and he can without affecting our free will, it's us that choose the final destination.

In all, be at peace knowing the bible says 365 times do not fear, and if it says it that much you can know that God is serious about it. Just like he gave the right body parts for a deer to achieve its daily journey without stumbling. He too has and will equip us in each and every steep hill we face throughout life. I truly believe we were never designed to do this alone, we were never to fight battles on our own. Our greatest weapon is prayer, and God will deal with the rest. I know trusting isn't always easy, but if pursuing God is truly our desire he will help us get to the point of trusting him. I can say that with confidence because of how much my trust in God has changed for the better over the course my 20s. Be blessed..

Lets pray
Father God, thank you for another day. Thank you for your words Lord. Lord May your words go forth and fulfil the purpose for which you meant them for. Father help us to trust you through each trial that we find ourselves in. Remind us of the beauty for which your word reveals, like the image of the deer. Lord you are our provider our guide and our King. Thank you for saving me. In Jesus name amen.
