am I enough?

Well there are two ways we can look at this. On one hand, in our own strength we just can't make the cut in accomplishing the impossible. The bible says without God nothings possible (Luke 1:37). I mean, you could try walking on water, or raising the dead. But without God you're going to sink. He's the power to the miracles, signs and wonders seen around the world.

The other way is more sacrificial, an act of love. You see, we're enough because Christ persisted to die for our sins. We're enough because we were made in Gods image (Genesis 1:27), and God doesn't make mistakes, he makes masterpieces (Ephesians 2:10)

You could of got a degree, produced an album or become a well-known and well liked person. Yet still we find insecurities. I've never met someone who says "Yeah I'll do it because I'm awesome at this" this being whatever was required. When you talk to people there's always something interfering with their thought pattern. Whether that be, your not good enough. Look at how talented they are, what have I got to show for it?. I don't know what your thoughts are but in my opinion we are our biggest critics. I know I definitely am my biggest critic. Any kind of opportunities, my first critical response is why would they want to use me? Or why would God use me?... But why not? If God can use an 80year old man with a stuttering speach impediment, as a key person to free an entire nation from slavery (Moses, testimony found in Exodus). If God can use a young boy (1 Samuel 17:33) to defeat a fierce giant (above average size man) or give a woman the wisdom to help the army of Israel defeat their enemy (Judges 4:5-9). Why can't he use me and you. You see these people weren't any different to me and you, they had their problems, their criticism about themselves I'm sure. But one thing was certain. They trusted God. That faith and willingness to do God's will is what caused the testament we read today in the bible. We may not get our testimonies in the bible for generations to read. But we can make sure we make an impact for those we are surrounded by everyday. God didn't design this earth and everything in it so he can have a bunch of robots doing what he asked 24/7, he has the angels that do that. He made us, so we can choose to say "you know what God I want you to use me to glorify yourself among the nations" for short "I am willing" and he will. This doesn't mean life will be cupcakes and rainbows. But it does mean you will see mighty things, more than you could ever imagine. 

Isaiah 6:8

Then I heard the voice of the Lord saying, "Whom shall I send? And who will go for us?" And I said, "Here am I. Send me!"

Will you go? 

remember you can pay for many solutions to make things better. But at the end of it all it's only you who can make that step of faith towards a transformed mind. And it's only God that can help you through.

Let's pray. 

Father, who we are, can hit us all to some degree in life. That question alone can turn into a life long quest, the only one who knows the real us is you. You are the creator. Father help us find our sense of worth that can only come from you. We look all over for acceptance, approval, yet many of us forget to concider you. You love us, have loved us, even though we prioritise other things instead of spending time with you. Father open our eyes to how you see us. How you see others. So we can love and support them like you have loved and supported us. Help us be content with our lives, ourselves and our purpose in your will. In jesus name amen.
