He will crumble...

God can and will speak to you through many scenarios. In my case, it was through a film.

What happens.

The particular Jurassic park movie I want to relate to is Jurassic world. On a Friday my husband has a zoom meeting with some of his friends, and ever since he started doing this I've sat in the same room drawing. This particular Friday I was so ready to draw, yet while waiting for my youngest to go to sleep, God encouraged me to watch Jurassic world again (baring in mind i had just watched it a few days before). Naturally I was confused. Why is God asking me to watch a dinosaur movie? Instead of a faith based movie...  Am i that tired that I'm confusing Gods wants to what i like?. #it felt rather strange if I'm honest, but the nudging in me only got stronger, that, that was the film I was to watch. I wasn't going to complain as I just love watching all the Jurassic Park movies. Yet the part that that struck me and blew me away, wasn't till the end of the movie.

You see, these people hadn't learn their lesson, and still continued to create and bring back many extinct species of dinosaurs. They even made it into a theme park, almost like a prehistoric zoo. Yet instead of using their intelligence for safety, they threw their money at making dinosaurs with more teeth, bigger the better. They made or shall I say infused DNA from a T-Rex and a Velociraptor (two dominating, killing creatures). Other strands of DNA from smaller creatures were used but these dominating killing machines were the prime DNA to create a beast. With more teeth. Yet instead of making a humble pet, that will act and perform as required. This beast was a fast learner. It could hide from radiation detection, it would camouflage itself before making it's move. And It pretty much killed anything that moved.

Keep with me... At the end, when this Indominus Rex has killed it's way through the island, it finally makes it to the main attraction ground. Where all the people would be, if they hadn't been made to hide, or evacuate the island. The Velociraptors surrounded the main actors, one being the man who raised them, and the other the auntie that helped run theme park and her two nephews. At first you'd think, they were going to die, as Velociraptors were killers. But the loyalty to the guy who raised them came before any DNA relation. Thus the Velociraptors go to attack this man infused beast, named the Indominus Rex. It doesn't look to good as the Indominus Rex is 50 feet long and the Velociraptors would measure up as little puppies to the feet of this huge beast. One of the terrified nephews says "we need more teeth" the confused aunt then does the bravest thing anyone with a right mind would do, and that was to get the T-Rex with a flare touch. She throws this sparking flare at the Indominus Rex which causes the T-Rex to charge towards it. And boom a fight breaks out.

Let's highlight the fact that all three dinosaurs are predictors. Yet the T-Rex and the Velociraptors help each other take down this Indominus Rex. They manage to trap it against the broken down wall of an under water dinosaur. Which none of them have any idea is there. Until it's too late. And the Indominus Rex gets dragged down to its death by the sea monster. And because of the team effect to end this beast, the T-Rex and the Velociraptor have a mutual respect for each other and leave each other alone, thus going on their own way. To do what they do best.

The Message

Right, so why am I saying this. What is the point. Well the first thing I felt God say was "the enemy will crumble" which in itself is totally awesome. As time went on after watching the film, my insight of this small section of the film just grew. And whether it just impacts me or it blesses and encourages you too, even if it helps just one person. It is worth sharing. I firmly believe if God blesses you, you should never keep it to yourself, you should share and spread the blessing.

Each one of us at some point has an Indominus rex roaming through our lives, trying to destroy things, trying to ruin us. I know my family have had a few at separate times over the years. But just like the film the Indominus Rex was stopped. I really believe God is saying the Indominus rex in our/my life will be stopped. The T-Rex and the Velociraptor, who ever they maybe in our lives. Dominating figures, who can and will make the difference, will be used by God to bring the Indominus rex to its knees. Whatever that maybe in our lives. And if he has to, whatever or whoever is in relation to the sea monster will be the wipe out of the situation. The devil may use a number of people, even those close to us, to try and stop us from doing the will of God. He'll create situations to bring fear, doubt and anxiety in our lives. Like lava it'll pour through and damage what ever it touches, but as we focus on Jesus and our identity in him. (which I highly recommend you watch the sermon from Priscilla - Identity in Christ) the representative of the Indominus rex in our lives stands no chance, and we only need to allow God to defend us, to save us, to restore what damage was caused by the beast.

I reckon most of us if not all of us can think of dominating people in our lives that could represent the T-Rex and the Velociraptor. That could defend our corner.... Yeah well scrap that idea. The bible is full of examples of how God doesn't go for the biggest the strongest and the best Looking person. Every testimony used in the bible is done through weak, in the background kind of person. Yet through God, they made history. They helped God make a beautiful story that has been the prime encouragements for generations since. Even to this day God can and will do extraordinary things through the most unlikely of people. Noah was very old, yet he built an ark for God (Genesis: Chapter 6-9), Moses complained of his inability to speak without getting tongue tied (Exodus 4:10), when God asked him to go to Pharaoh to free the Israelites. David was small, yet with the hand of God he brought down a giant, which the entire army, trained to fight were too scared to do so.(1Samuel: 17) Esther was a woman, which in the culture of that day, wasn't very important, yet through the help of God she found favor through the kings eyes and ended up saving the Isrealites from the hand of a man so desperate to kill the Jewish race. (Esther: 1-10) this is a few examples from the bible, lets look at modern day times. Because God still does extraordinary things. Previous to Our wedding God said to trust him everything will be fine, yet on our wedding day, a rain cloud came to where my husband and some other men were having breakfast. So Ben stepped outside the restaurant and Said "God you promised" and no lie, that rain cloud left.

The bible hasn't out dated itself, the miracles, signs and wonders talked about in the bible can and still do happen today. (Hebrew 4:12...For the word of God is alive and active. Sharper than any double-edged sword, it penetrates even to dividing soul and spirit, joints and marrow; it judges the thoughts and attitudes of the heart.) And God is willing to use you to make it known here on earth. All we need to be is willing. Isaiah 6:8... Then I heard the voice of the Lord saying, "Whom shall I send? And who will go for us?" And I said, "Here am I. Send me!"

So when this attack from the devil occurs (this Indominus Rex) just remember that the creator of heaven and earth is far bigger than anything thrown and us. And though it may look and feel like no hope can be found, Gods word doesn't return void. (Isaiah 55:11...so is my word that goes out from my mouth: It will not return to me empty, but will accomplish what I desire and achieve the purpose for which I sent it.) He is at work, and will not stop until completion on the day of the Messiahs return. Hallelujah.

Philippians 1:6... being confident of this, that he who began a good work in you will carry it on to completion until the day of Christ Jesus.

Lets Pray...

Father, life has a way of throwing curve balls at us. but God when you say the Indominus Rex will crumble, it will be stopped in our lives. You mean it, your words aren't meaningless nonsense. They have life, they have power. And they will fulfill the purpose for which is was sent out. Oh father in heaven i pray for the person reading this, that they will find comfort init. And though things may look like the enemy is triumphing over our lives, you have a master plan, and it is your will that will prevail. Fill them with your peace, your precious love and strength to get through the next coming season in their life. Fill them a fresh with your holy spirit in Jesus name Amen.
