strength will rise!

Have you ever found yourself in the waiting zone of Gods plan to unfold in your life. Knowing in your heart that God has instructed you, of what is to come, what he wants to do in and through your life or what changes will unfold in your life. Yet in your mind all you see and understand is the chaos that is the reality of your surroundings. Does this bring some memories or maybe it's even a reality now for you. It sure was for my family. I know in my heart God is faithful, he always provides, his blessings are profound, his love endures forever and is always on display (I see his love in the form of a heart shape, I'll find that in the most random places yet each time it has the most significant effect on me; it's just beautiful)

so why do we find waiting around it's so exhausting?

Naturally we are very impatient, especially in the society we are in now; where everything is almost instantaneous. So waiting for long periods like you'll find in the bible can be unthinkable. Correct me if I'm wrong of course.

Underlying insecurities play a propelling factor to the fears and anxieties that invade our thoughts when things seem impossible. We sometimes start to wonder if we even heard God at all (I've been there) we sometimes wonder if we've interpreted it wrong, misunderstood what God really meant. Although if we are honest; how Gods plans unfold in our lives, a lot of the time isn't how we imagined it. You sometimes hear questions like, why is this happening to me? What is my purpose! my calling? I have found out the hard way that we are often in our purpose and don't realise the impact we are having because it's not as profound as the main preachers that reach thousands of lives in one service, bringing hundreds to Christ. But just like a human body, it requires all parts to function to the capacity they were designed for, for us to get through each day. When one part fails, it has repercussions on the rest. Kind of like a ripple effect when a water drop hits the main body of water. Although I do believe that God always has back up plans if we don't do what he asks. By this I mean, I believe he'll put it on another person's heart to do. To which at a later date, giving us another opportunity to fulfil the task that was asked. (That's my understanding) We were not all designed to be a preacher to a mass audience, but when we do our best in our every day life, striving to the best of our ability and allowing God to guide us and lead us, we can change the world around us bit by bit. We may not always see the effects of spending time with someone, or blessing someone, or saying hello to someone passing by in the street, gardening, cleaning, reaching people in hospitals school or in town. Whatever it is you do, do it for he glory of God, he will sort out the rest. God promises to provide us the strength we need to rise up and fulfil his plan. He equips us, fills us up with his spirit and power and he promises to never leave us or forsake us. Hallelujah.

Sometimes our problems can often be the lack of confidence in ourselves. We tend to underestimate ourselves, believing unintentionally the lies that we aren't good enough or smart enough or talented enough (believe me I've fallen for this recently, yet God, quick in his love told me that I'm good enough to be what's he is calling me to be) have you ever looked at someone and thought they are much better at this than me? Why do you want me to do it God? From our perspective it may come naturally to another person and not ourselves, but in 1 Samuel 16 where David is anointed future king. Samuel naturally thought the brothers of David would be more fitting because they impressed the natural eye. But God saw in David what no one else could. He saw the king he was designed to be. The same is with us, people may see and label us from their perspective but God knows what he designed us to be. Strength will rise to accomplish this.

The bible is full of examples of God using the most unlikely of people to accomplish the most extraordinary work for his kingdom. Let's take moses for example, we read that he had a stutter. This sed stutter brought anxiety, feeding his low self-esteem as God explained what he wanted Moses to do. Moses became a well known, well respected leader even to this day. Devout Jews (from what I understand) to this day do their best to live out the law of Moses to the best of their ability. Another example would be Gideon, he wasn't a leader, he was from a small place in all of Israel. Yet when Gods angel came to him he was hiding in the wine press area away from their enemy. Only to hear the words that he would lead an army to defeat the enemy of Israel. Ester was a woman who became a vital part is the deliverance of the Jewish nation. God caused a common young lady the rise in favour in the eyes of the King and his men over seeing the beauty treatment process which each young woman had to go through before being presented to the king. She, as we read became the Queen, the reason for this became very clear when the notion for the genocide of the Jews was in motion. Her bravery to step into the kings presence even though it meant life or death, especially as the king didn't summon her was a big deal. We read that her step into royalty was all for the truth to be exposed and the Jews lives to be saved from the hands of all that would follow the order of their annihilation. These examples I have shared with you are a small caption of the many woman and men God has used since the beginning of time to show his mighty hand here on earth as it is in heaven.

When God reveals to us a purpose that he wants to use us in, most likely at first it would look daunting. The thoughts of how can I pull something like that off, or how is that possible, usually run through our minds. Because naturally the area God intends on using for is usually the area of our weaknesses. Confirming the bible verse in our weak he is strong
 (2 Corinthians 12:9-10 ESV‬
[9] But he said to me, “My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness.” Therefore I will boast all the more gladly of my weaknesses, so that the power of Christ may rest upon me. [10] For the sake of Christ, then, I am content with weaknesses, insults, hardships, persecutions, and calamities. For when I am weak, then I am strong.)
For me my weaknesses have been relationships (friendships) and writing. Funny enough God has had and still is using me with writing these blog posts, running playgroups and the one to one pastoral care with people from the church. These things don't come naturally to me, but it has and still is a journey in growth and confidence building. With all that in mind we must remind ourselves, we will never be doing the assignments from God on our own. He doesn't ask us to do something and then go on holiday. No God sees it through with us. Giving us all we need to get the work done.

My husband is in the process of vicar training, and the truth of the matter is the idea of being a vicar wife is terrifying. I've had thoughts from the enemy of, your not smart enough, your not going to be a good vicar wife when you quiet like this. You see I have moments of being very chatty to moments of being quiet with very little to say. These thoughts scream in my mind and sometimes can often bring me to tears. But when the creator of heaven and earth says you are good enough, you are my child. It is a truth to stand on for the rest of our days. It is Gods truths that strengthen us in all times. Knowing our identity which is written in the bible is vital in life. It is the solid brickwork on the firm foundation that Is Christ in our life. And one thing I know to be true, having Christ in my life through these hard times and knowing what he thinks of me, makes going through hardship times a lot easier to endure for sure.

So what I'm hoping has come across in this blog, is that whatever God has called you personally or as a family unit, regardless to what your circumstances says, strength will rise from God through you. And no matter what the enemy fires your way, with God nothing is impossible and you will get to that promise, stronger, braver, wiser, bolder, being able to trust God that littler bit more than before. The joy that comes when we don't give up, is indescribable. Just remember when those down moments.coke your way and those insecurities shine, fear creeps it's way around you, anxiety hugs you, proclaim the word of God over your life. You aren't defined by these fears and weakness labels that are screaming themselves so deafening in your ear. You are define by the words of God and these definitions you'll find in the bible. Please check them out beautiful. God bless

(Please do check out the testimony of the men and women in the bible that I mentioned, don't take my word for it.. you'll be blessed and encouraged by their beautiful testimonies)

God bless

Let's pray
Father God, you are the alpha and the omega, you created everything and it is through you all things hold together and work together for the good of those who love you.. we want to see you glorified in our lives. Father God strengthen us to accomplish whatever it is you have designed for us to do. As we wait for your promises to unfold in our lives, help us not to give up but to be open with you and listen to you and act accordingly. Help us see ourselves and others through your eyes. Open our eyes and hearts to opportunities bless and support and be there for others, bringing your love to others sin a heavy world. In Jesus name amen
