freedom amongst thunder

storms, I'm no weather facts chaser but I do appreciate the speck of beauty you may find in the midst of the storm. Such as when lightening lights up the sky, though the bolts of lightening are dangerous it sure is an incredible sight. The pounding of rain in a storm to some is very calming and the snow storms, though deadly and hazardous it covers the horizon and makes the face of the earth glow. beautiful. So why am I mentioning about various weathers. Well just like the weather storms our lives face various kinds of storms. Spiritual storms, physical storms, emotional storms and mental storms. All to which can be deadly, hazardous, lightening up truths/wounds buried deep within, you may end up feeling like your drowning, or in a drought. I don't know about you but there have been times I've felt like a tornado is swirling around me, causes a mess, distracting my thoughts, deafening my ears; you just feel drained. But our king of Kings offers hope. He promises to never leave us. Deuteronomy 31:8, The LORD himself goes before you and will be with you; He will never leave you nor forsake you.  "Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged."
To give us peace (Psalm 29:11 The Lord gives strength to his people, the Lord blesses his people with peace) to surround us with His love (psalm 32:22 Let your unfailing love surround us Lord, for our hope is in you alone), to guide us back to his path that he set out for us long ago ( Psalm 31:3 For you are my rock and my fortress, for your name sake you will lead me and guide me). John 3:16 says God sent his son to die for us, what beauty. Though it was horrific, Jesus destroyed any hold that would and could defeat us. Praise God. So, no matter what life can throw our way finance trouble, work/school/college pressure, bullies of all kinds trying to ruin  you, abuse, relationship battles and so, the list goes on. Jesus conquered it, he won the victory. so whatever and whenever the enemy tries to steal kill and destroy in your life. always remember through jesus we are victorious. So take up your authority, stand firm on what the word of God says and leave the war up to God. God will never plant you somewhere for you to fail and be humiliated. his plans are for our good and for us to prosper. Focus on Jesus and ride out the storm. He has well and truly got this..

testimony:
One of the biggest storms me and my husband have faced so far in our marriage, surprisingly wasn't anything to do with us though it tested our marriage on many levels. Praise God for his foothold in our marriage. A guy that started off friendly learned that my husband used to do filming as a business. He persuaded my husband to restart with him. So all started well, but during the time my spirit turned and twisted like crazy but I thought I was just being judgemental and angry. (before I got married I was an angry person but over years God has dealt with it) as time progressed it turned out it wasn't me it was discernment. But this guy wasn't just going to let go and move on, he threw a storm and half. We had harassment, threats, website slander, tried to get my husband fired of a job, etc. This was hell for us at the time; yet amongst all of it though our flesh wanted to destroy him, God told us to remain silent as vengeance was his. And if you knew me then that wasn't the easiest thing to do. but I can honesty say I was seriously proud of us from it all. Though we may never see what exactly God does, I can now say from the bottom of my heart I pray God helps him before its too late. Through the whole situation though at the time felt like hell to us with no escape, God seeing the bigger picture guided us and looked after us knowing the beauty that would come in the end and how stronger person we would be..

I'm sure you are or have just faced a storm of your own, after all one of many things the bible guarantees in our lives is trouble .John 16:33 “I have told you these things, so that in me you may have peace. In this world you will have trouble. But take heart! I have overcomethe world.” But this shouldn't scare us off, because the enemy will flee, and at the name of jesus every knee will bow and every tounge confess. so if Jesus is so powerful and we are adopted into his family. we should have no fear when storms come our way. Just embrace the beauty of what God reveals or has already given and trust that no matter how sticky the situation gets God has your back.

Let's pray
Father God I thank you for your hand in my life. Father I praise your name for giving us the most precious gift of your son Jesus Christ and what he did so I can be in a relationship with you. Father when life throws it curves my way, please can you shower me with your peace and love so I can know and remember that you already won the victory and conquered anything that can be thrown at me. Thank you for not leaving me, and for caring for someone like me. Use me in your precious will and help me know you more as I seek your face. in Jesus name amen
