When's jesus coming out of the box?


I don't fit in your box -God

We all have a schedule. We all have routines. Humanity is very busy. Which often means God gets put in a box. Sometimes without knowing we've done so. I've seen too many times people looking at their watches, people complaining that something went on too long. People being told to keep the worship short. COME ON. What!!! Can't we see what the enemy is doing. He doesn't want us to worship God, he doesn't want us to bring glory to his name. He doesn't want us to invest our time and energy into the Creator of all life. Why because when we do powerful and miraculous things take place. I spoke in my last blog about how powerful we are in the name of jesus (if you missed it go check it out, bless you) I'm serious. My bones, my inner core, my soul, my all is burning with passion of these two subjects. 1. the power of the name of jesus and 2. God can't be in a box. 

When Jesus died on the cross He didn't look at his watch and say "erm, I need to postpone because love island is on soon" or "give me five more minutes I'm watching football" or "I don't know if I'll go through this because it'll take so long and I have a chicken cooking." NO. NO. NO. despite the heavy burdens of the sinful nature of the entire world from beginning to end. Instead of giving up the towel so to saying goes. He said "Father not my will but yours be done"
Luke 22:42 "Father, if you are willing take this cup from me, yet not my will but yours be done"
Jesus could have just stay in heaven and left us all to destruction. Because to be honest in modern day society can you really see us sacrificing animals. Wouldn't go down well would it. God so loves us that Jesus came to sacrifice himself so we could have that ultimate relationship with him. Dwelling in his presence. Talking with him (don't be disheartened if you don't hear God audibly) God knows exactly how to get through to you. He longs to reveal to you the hidden gems of his words. Allow him to make his word come alive in your life. He longs to take you the distance so your faith and spiritual gifting will reach the impossible. He wants to give you snippets of his heart and how he sees things. Come on brothers and sisters in Christ, even if you don't know Christ yet. the list of the possibilities in Christ and your relationship with him are endless. After all he is out of our time and he does in fact hold the universe in his hands. So why do we put him in a box. God doesn't fit in any box. Being a Christian doesn't mean you can't have fun. No. God made this planet to be an enjoyable beautiful place. It's when the things we enjoy becomes a priority of God, and he's put back in that box's. That's when it becomes a problem. the bible says anything that has our utmost attention 24/7 becomes our God our idols. money, TV, mobiles, sex, football, and many more. these are a blessing from the author of life. And he has well and truly blessed us all abundantly. All praise and honour belongs to God. 

There's a video about a pastor explaining his conviction when he went to China. He met in a small hotel room Christian leaders who had travelled 13 hours to spend 3 days, learning about God. With no comfy seats no air conditioning. And they asked to be more like the people from America where you can go to church as and when you want. but he refused because we should be more like that. traveling far and wide whatever the cost to be in the presence of jesus. check out the link. incredible video. 


I must admit when I first started to take my walk serious, I found it hard and boring to read the bible and pray. I fell sleep trying to be still and hear God. But God knew my heart and that I was generally seeking him and over time I can't get enough of him. My husband says I spend more time in the bible than anyone he knows, but I feel like I'm not in there enough I want more. I'm not telling you this to boast. I'm telling you this as an encouragement to never give up. Jeremiah 29:13, when you seek me in prayer and worship, you will find me available to you if you seek me with all you heart and soul. 

I hope to encourage you today, to not knowingly or unintentionally put God in a box. pursuing a relationship with him is the best thing you could ever do. It won't be the most popular but it is the most guaranteed satisfaction. 

Let's pray
Father God thank you for your love for this world, despite the fact we often put other things in more of a priority to you. Forgive us Lord for putting you in that box.Help us in our walk with you, especially in this hard and dangerous times. Your love is so amazing and you died of a cross for our sakes. Please may your word come alive in our life, may our eyes and ears hear and see what you are showing and telling us. I ask you to pour your spirit down on us to engulf us with a fresh experience and presence of the author of life. so we can pass of that love and encouragement to others in Jesus name amen.

Unbroken promise

 Hi everyone I know it's been a while since my last blog entry, you see God has taken me and my family through quite the rollercoaster. For a while I had writers block. Being a Christian can be hard work at times wouldn't you agree? There are times you think what's the point. Times of pure enjoyment. Times of frustration. Even times where you question if God is real. We all go through these periods in our life. And all of it is because of the spiritual battle that goes on every day of our life. The holy spirit; working on building us up, showing us how God sees us and wants to work through us. As well as the enemy trying to destroy us, by means of society, what we read, what we watch, other peoples opinions. All to make us feel useless, hopeless and a waste of space. All this so we don't reach our potential in christ. Exhausting right. No where in the bible does it say be perfect or your doomed. God knows we will struggle, stumble, fall short. It's eternity not just sundays

  Have you ever built a lego sculpture? I have, in fact I did recently. A titanic ship and a army war plane. I fully enjoyed this activity and would go as far as saying it's becoming a hobby. But I haven't done this post to talk about Lego, although it is how God chose to get a message across to me.  You see, building a Lego sculpture requires a lot of Lego bricks. From tiny squares to long rectangular one. All shapes and sizes are involved in the making of a beautiful masterpiece. The end result is very rewarding. Each intricate detail that are put together, every block, every pain staking moment getting the tiny delicate pieces together without accidentally breaking the whole thing; requires time, patience and effort. God is the builder in our lives. When we invite him into our lives he works with us, building on a new foundation that is in Christ Jesus.
